2 Game NHL Parlay – The Wild, Wild West
January 22, 2010
Thursday Night’s NHL betting action includes four teams that need wins to either climb into the playoff picture or cement their place in that picture.
Detroit Red Wings – -110
The Detroit Red Wings find themselves in unfamiliar territory – OUT of the Western Conference playoff race. They have lost four of their last five games – mostly on the road. Detroit is a very good home team, but on the road, they are just OK. OK isn’t the type of Red Wings squad that we’ve seen in the past. Something seems amiss in Hockey Town!!
Minnesota Wild –110
The Minnesota Wild were expected to be right there – in the Western Conference playoff race, but now find themselves six points out of eighth place. They beat Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Vancouver at home, then promptly lost two on the road. This is a good home team and it Detroit seems ripe for the picking.

Nashville Predators – +105
The Nashville Predators are 7-3 in their last 10 games and sport an amazing 29-17-3 record. I have no idea how. All this bunch of no-names does is win – and with their 15-7-2 road record, I like them to beat up on the suddenly struggling Coyotes.
Phoenix Coyotes –125
The Phoenix Coyotes were the surprise of the first half of the season, the question is whether they can keep the momentum going or if the fairy tale will end. The Coyotes have tailed off lately. They are only 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and they certainly didn’t look good in their last outing against the Buffalo Sabres (7-2 loss). Home or not, I just don’t like this team.
