Rick McColley is reported to have been arrested for his assistance in running an illegal online sportsbetting operation in Wisconsin.
Hired over ten years ago, McColley assisted Duane Pede in running a more than $400 million sportsbetting business. And now, half a dozen people involved in Pede’s business are facing criminal charges in the U.S. McColley is one of the first who was sentenced, but rather lightly, to the four months time in jail.
Severe restrictions preventing sportsbetting at the online casinos or through telephone are in place in the U.S. The state of Nevada is an exception where all bets are on.
