AUDI CUP – FC Bayern Munich vs. AC Milan
August 3, 2009
FC Bayern Munich has an edge over the rest of the competition at the Audi Cup as they are hosting the friendly tournament. It is their beloved Allianz Arena in Munich that is the backdrop for the Audi Cup in its inaugural year and of course Bayern fans will be on hand aplenty. Loads of support for the Bundesliga side as they face their final pre-season test before their 2009-10 season officially kicks off.

Bayern Munich hopes to advance
There is incredible pressure on Bayern Munich to win the second semi-final of the day against AC Milan and book a spot in the final, which will surely be against Manchester United. (Bayern Munich along with Manchester United are the favourites and most soccer bettors want to see a clash between these two).
Of course, this is only a friendly tournament but for Bayern fans and the club, it is a bit more important than that, and nothing short of playing the final would suffice. This is in part because of the calibre of the opponents, although Boca and AC Milan didn’t have their best seasons last year and because they have a score to settle with Manchester United. But, more importantly, this is Bayern’s last test before the Bundesliga season kicks off and Bayern fans want reassurance that their side is ready.
AC Milan playing without Kaka
AC Milan lost their talisman Kaka to Real Madrid. They are not the same club without him. They lack the flair they used to have. Yet, AC Milan enters this matchup, knowing they have a strong record against Bayern Munich so there is confidence in that.
Soccer Betting Verdict: AC Milan has only their past record against Bayern to seek inspiration from but they are not the same team anymore and without Kaka it is hard to imagine how they will do it. They are a much weakened force without him. Meanwhile, Bayern has a lot to prove to fans. They have to win this match and I expect they will convincingly. At 110, they are a god play. Take the over 2.5 goals as well.
