BFC 27 Betting – Joe Warren vs Joe Soto
Thursday September 2nd – 9:00 PM ET
Majestic Theatre, San Antonio, Texas
Bellator Betting Odds: Soto -115
Leading Up To BFC 27: Joe Warren
With five wins in six career fights, the University of Michigan product has achieved the status as number one contender in the featherweight division by earning three straight decisions in Bellator events.
A three-time gold medalist for the United States in Greco-Roman wrestling at both the Pan American games and the World Championships, the Team Quest representative has scored only one knock out in six career wins, with the other five all being awarded to him by judge’s decision.
Warren’s only loss came against Bibiano Fernandes in the Grand Prix semi finals, when he was submitted in just the first round back in October of 2009.
Leading Up To BFC 27: Joe Soto
Bellator Fighting Championship Featherweight title-holder Joe Soto has absolutely dominated the sport since turning professional back in 2006, maintaining a perfect record while recording wins in his first nine fights. Of those nine victories, four have come via knock out, while another four were achieved by submission, a testament to the well-rounded ability of the 23-year old.
With seven of his nine career wins being clinched in only the first round, Soto has proved his dominance over much lesser competition, a trend he is hoping will continue when he steps in to the cage against Warren.
Bellator Betting Matchup
While Warren has done an excellent job of beating up on lesser competition, the champion Soto has dominated his way to the top, and seems relentless in his quest to defend the Feathweight belt. With three straight victories being achieved in the first two rounds, including consecutive first round knock out wins, it will be Soto’s turn to lean on Warren for another victory as his profile continues to rise.
Warren may be in over his head taking on such a quality opponent, and if he can hang in for a couple of rounds, that may be an accomplishment in itself.
Bellator Betting Pick: Soto
