Top 3
Best NASCAR Bet A: Tony Stewart +300
Tony’s been on a roll lately racking up Top 5 finishes. He should be able to at least get n the Top 5, and hopefully turn it into a Top 3 finish, on Saturday as he’s recorded 7 Top 5 finishes at Daytona. 3 of those 7 Top 5 finishes were victories. Smoke’s average finish at Daytona of 16.7 isn’t great but Daytona is a tough place to drive at and Tony drives as well at Daytona as anybody on the Sprint Cup Circuit. He gets the nod in this contentious NASCAR betting category.
Best NASCAR Bet B: Kyle Busch +300
Kyle’s 5 Top 5 finishes on the year is pretty good. What’s better is the fact that he won this race in 2008 and finished 4 th at the Daytona 500 in 2008. Kyle’s 2009 at Daytona wasn’t great, but he’s having a pretty good year so far with 2 victories and good finishes in most of the other races. Kyle B. has recorded 4 lifetime Top 5 finishes at Daytona International Speedway. At the NASCAR odds, he’s as good of a bet as anybody in this category.
Best Underdog NASCAR Wager: Mark Martin +750
It’s true that Mark Martin has never won a race at the Daytona International Speedway, but he has recorded 9 Top 5 finishes and does have an average finish of 18 on the track. Martin also won the pole for the Daytona 500 this past February. He didn’t finish very well in that race, but he has to be considered a contender to get at least a Top 3 placing based on the fact that, even though he’s never won over the track, he has incredible experience at Daytona. Oh, yes, the awesome NASCAR betting odds on Martin to finish in the Top 3 doesn’t hurt either!
Others to Consider
Denny Hamlin +350 – - Only 1 Top 5 finish at Daytona is a concern but only JJ is having a better year than Hamlin.
Jimmie Johnson +350 – - 6 Top 5 finishes at Daytona during his career and 8 Top 5 finishes on the year makes JJ another one to consider in the Top 3 category.
Jeff Gordon +350 – - Gordo has finished in the Top 5 8 times this year. He’s finished in the Top 5 at Daytona 11 times during his career. Oh, yeah, he’s got a shot for a Top 3 finish on Saturday!
Kurt Busch +450 – - No victories at Daytona but 9 Top 5 finishes means that Kurt shuould be in the running for a Top 3 finish this Saturday night.
