NFL Futures Betting – Some Intriguing Underdogs in the NFC

We have been through three preseason games. Now your NFL Futures Betting can be a little bit informed. A look at the NFC West, NFC East and NFC South offers some strong favourites and some very interesting underdog candidates.

NFC West:

- San Francisco -120 to win the Division – They are favourites by default really. They have done little or nothing to make us think that this team is ready to take that next step. There are some pretty big question marks for the team right now. Alex Smith has been unspectacular in his preseason action so far and a lot of San Francisco’s expectations hinge on him.

- Seattle +300 to win the Division – Seattle has by far the best offseason of any team in the NFL and the moves appear to be paying off. Their acquisition of Leon Washington has flown under the radar and backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst has been decent. This team will win the division if and that’s a big if Matt Hasselbeck stays healthy. Charlie Whitehurst actually has me believing that he can guide this team when Hasselbeck gets hurt. This team was decimated by injuries last season on defense. All they have to be is OK for this team to win an easy division.

NFL Futures Betting Pick: Seattle Seahawks to surprise and win the NFC West

NFC East

- Dallas +120 to win the Division – The Dallas Cowboys have immense expectations but their preseason effort has given fans little reason for huge optimism. They have been weak to say the least. It wouldn’t surprise me to see this team crumble under the pressure.

- New York Giants +300 to win the Division – Injuries on both sides of the ball killed this team last season. Despite a poor year by the team, Eli Manning had a career best 4000+ yards and 27 touchdowns. If Brandon Jacobs can return to form, the Giants could surprise. This is a team that went 12-4 only two seasons ago and yet they have a lot of the same players.  The offense will be better and the defense will be better too.

NFL Futures Betting Pick: New York Giants to return to prominence and win the NFC East

NFC South

- New Orleans Saints -160 to win the division – Don’t get me wrong, the Saints have an awesome team. However, there is a chance that they could go 11-5 this season and I think that there is a team in their division that could go 12-4!

- Atlanta Falcons +200 to win the Division – Atlanta could be that team that breaks out and has an off the charts year. Cincinnati did it last season and Miami did it the season before. All of the pieces are in place for the Falcons to make a serious run this season. 11-5 or 12-4 could win the division if New Orleans stumbles even a little bit.
