A state-of-the-art stadium, an elite quarterback with a standout receiving corps has all the makings for Super Bowl contention.
However, the Cowboys 2010-11 NFL preseason performances, thus far, have shown us nothing of the sort.
Tony Romo is underperforming, as he has only recorded one touchdown while posting two interceptions in his last four football betting games. But Romo is not taking all the heat for the Cowboys’ misfortunes.
The whole Cowboys offense is somewhat out of sync. Dallas has yet to score more than 16 points in any of its four preseason games and no wide receiver other than Sam Hurd has caught greater than 40 yards in a contest.
With the Cowboys offense still trying to connect the dots, head coach Wade Phillips may play his starters a bit longer than usual this preseason NFL football betting game.
Miami, on the other hand, looks to be content with the results of position battles at numerous positions and will likely give their starters an early rest in their preseason finale.
Quarterback Chad Henne has successfully outperformed Tyler Thigpen and claimed the starting quarterback role.
Running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown will continue to share the load as they did last year, and will likely see no more than 250 carries a piece during the season.
Brandon Marshall will without a doubt be the top wideout and Davone Bess and Brian Hartline will tend to 2nd and 3rd-string roles respectively.
Miami’s defense has performed admirably this football betting preseason, allowing an average of just 13 points per game (the top-ranked defense in the NFL last season averaged almost 15 points per game) but the Cowboys will be too strong in this preseason game.
NFL Football Betting Expert Pick: Dallas +1.5
