Let It Ride poker is a popular table game that’s now also being offered as a video poker variant at online casinos like BetOnline. This makes Let It Ride video poker one of the first and only non-draw style video poker games. That’s because Let It Ride is technically a stud-style poker game.

Players still receive five cards like they would at any other video poker machine, but instead of getting the option to change out cards they’re given the option to switch up their bets. Here’s how it works.

At the beginning of every Let It Ride round, players will make a bet that is further divided into three equal wagers. Three cards are then dealt face up to the screen with two additional cards dealt face down. If they don’t like what they see, then a player may retract one of their bets.

Next a fourth card is turned over and players must once again decide if they want to retract a bet or “Let It Ride.” The fifth and final card is then revealed and any resulting wins are paid automatically. The minimum qualifying hand in Let It Ride video poker is a pair of 10s or better.

Whereas traditional video poker strategy focuses on choosing the right cards, Let It Ride’s strategy is limited to how you place your bets. Similar to live poker, the key to coming out ahead in Let It Ride video poker is minimizing your losses.

Stay tuned for more pointed Let It Ride video poker strategy advice.

Any game affiliated with online poker is hot these days, and casino 3 Card Poker is no exception. Casino 3 Card Poker is the love child of a whole bevy of table games. Like video poker it integrates the concept of a qualifying hand (though in this case for the dealer). Like blackjack players compete against the dealer instead of each other. And of course the hand rankings come entirely from classic poker. Here’s a brief breakdown on how the game is played…

To compete against the dealer’s hands, players will place a wager in the Ante area. To be paid using a set paytable, players will place a wager in the Pair Plus area. Most online casinos have a mandatory ante bet, but some allow players to choose either or both of the Ante and Pair Plus bets.

Once the wagers are on the table, the dealer gives each player three cards and then deals themselves three cards face down. Players with an ante wager must now decide if they want to double their original bet and stay in the hand by placing an additional wager in the “Play” area, or if they want to fold and forfeit their ante. Once every player has made this decision, the dealer will reveal their cards and pay or collect bets as necessary.

It seems like common sense that casino 3 Card Poker players would want the dealer to have a bad hand, but should the dealer have anything less than a queen high then the antes are returned and the play wagers are pushed to the next hand. In other words, you want the dealer to have a beatable hand, but for the sake of ongoing action they must have at least a high card.

Pair Plus players will automatically be paid based on the size of their hand. So long as you receive a pair or better your Pair Plus wager will pay, regardless of what the dealer’s hand is.

If your recent search for roulette information turned up some interesting and seemingly unrelated results, that’s likely due to the increasing popularity of a new social networking service called ChatRoulette. While ChatRoulette was named such in honor of Russian roulette vs the actual casino game, it’s still had an unexpected impact on the world of online roulette.

The gist of ChatRoulette is that random people are connected via webcam chat. It’s a simple enough concept, but one that up to this point online casinos had failed to utilize. Sure, for several years online players had the option to rant, chant or chatter in the lobby or on chat boxes posted on multi-player game screens, but the only sights and sounds players could access at an online roulette table were the ones coming from the game itself.

Online casinos recognized the appeal of making the virtual world more real by adding live dealers several years ago, but the concept has been very sparingly applied. Only now is the live dealer feature becoming more widespread. At sites like Casino Las Vegas players are not hosted by animated or pre-recorded dealers, but by a real, live hostess that not only guides them through the game but will answer questions and banter amiably with their players (assuming they can behave and stick to approved roulette chat topics). The same is true of other popular games like blackjack and baccarat.

It’s only a matter of time until poker rooms integrate the technology and until online casinos allow players to not only communicate face-to-face with casino employees but with each other too.

Blackjack Plus 3 offers the best of both worlds by combining the two most popular card games in the world (blackjack and poker) into one simple game. At the center of the action at a Blackjack Plus 3 table is your traditional single-hand blackjack game with the added excitement of a 3-card poker side bet.

Also commonly called Blackjack Plus 3-Card Poker or simply 21+3, Blackjack Plus 3 is in increasingly high demand at both live and online casinos.

Sign up HERE to start winning some cash today!

Though combining two games might sound complicated, playing Blackjack Plus 3 is actually rather easy. Before you play, you must place two separate bets – one for your blackjack hand and one for your 3-card poker hand. At many Blackjack Plus 3 tables the side bet is optional, but if you decline to make it obviously you’re missing half the fun.

The dealer will distribute cards in the traditional blackjack pattern of two up to each player and one up, one down to themselves. Your first two cards plus the dealer’s face up card comprise your 3-card poker hand. That means that you’ll instantly know if you’ve won your side bet. The remainder of the game is paid as usual in the player vs dealer format.

In Blackjack Plus 3 it’s important to note that both bets are played independently. In this way, it’s totally possible for a player to win neither, either or both of their bets, but a bad blackjack hand or alternately a bad 3-card hand won’t affect the other half of the game and players can still make all the hand moves included in a regular blackjack game.

Are you a heads man or do you subscribe to the playground theory tails never fails? Super Bowl Props have become such a huge part of Super Bowl betting that BetOnline.com has left one Super Bowl XLIV prop up all year long. The moment that Pittsburgh won Super Bowl XLIII, our props manager opened betting on the result of the coin toss for this year’s super bowl. Let’s look at why this is such a popular bet and examine some strategies for picking the right side. (Hint there is no good strategy for picking the right side)

The coin toss is the perfect bet; the odds of winning are exactly 50% for both sides. If you bet the coin toss at BetOnline you will enjoy a 10-cent line, so it the juice is only 5c on every dollar but you only have to worry about that if you lose.

Most wise guys that I know generally stay away from prop betting but almost all of them are willing to throw a few dimes on the coin toss for just the reasons we mentioned above. It’s low on juice and a true 50/50 proposition. Last season our props manager said he had some of our biggest bettors asking to put over $10,000 on the flip. “I’ll trust the toss of a coin before I trust some 18 year old kid to hit two free throws at the end of a college basketball game,” one sharp bettor said.

Personally, I pick tails, my wife always picks heads, what do you choose? Chances are if you bet the favorite or don’t bet at all, you will likely pick tails or if you are like me and lean towards the underdog in most game or consider yourself a sharp player, you will pick tails.

I took completely unscientific poll of 30 randomish people from around the office; here are my results. 16 people picked heads and 14 people picked tails but if we look deeper into the results, of the 15 people from the sportsbook, 10 of them picked tails. It’s safe to assume these people know online betting a lot better than the average person. From the BetOnline casino staff, 11 people chose heads and only 4 selected tails.

In the casino, they know odds are 50/50 but wanted to know the past 10 flip results and if the coin had a black or a red side. I tried to ask the BetOnline Poker team but half of them didn’t trust me to flip the coin and the other half of them said, “Fold” while the coin was in the air.

Before making your Super Bowl XLIV coin toss bet, you may want to consider a few trends

In 43 Super Bowls Heads has landed 22 times, Tails 21

The NFC has won the toss 12 straight years – odds of doing so 2048/1

The NFC has won the coin toss 29 times, the AFC 14 times

The winner of the coin toss has a losing record in the Super Bowl 20-23

So you bet Heads to get ahead or if you’re like me and yell “Tails never fails!” before the toss, you can take advantage of this low juice, 50/50 proposition right now. Enjoy the game.

The Tuesday night game in the NBA that will demand the most NBA betting attention no doubt will be the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the San Antonio Spurs, but is that the best basketball game to bet on Tuesday night?

With Pau Gasol, Luke Walton, Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant all questionable, probable or doubtful for the game, this Lakers versus Spurs game just doesn’t have the same ring to it that it has in the past.

More drama can probably be found when the troubled Wizards take on the horrible Detroit Pistons in Washington D.C. The Wizards may never recover after Gilbert Arenas’s poker playing, gun toting incident, but the NBA has. Washington still has to suit up and hit the hardwood.

In the night’s other terrific game to bet, the L.A. Clippers, who beat the Lakers last week, travel to Memphis to take on the ultra-talented but schizophrenic Memphis Grizzlies.

Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards

Tip-off: 7:00 pm EST

NBA Odds: Washington -5 ½, Total 197

Analysis: There are some serious trends that point to Detroit getting squashed in this game. Detroit is 1 and 7 ATS in their last 8 road games. Detroit is 1 and 12 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Detroit is 0 and 8 ATS in their last 8 games versus a team with a losing record.

The trends favoring the Wizards are okay but not overpowering. For instance, even though the Wizards are 5-1-2 ATS in their last 8 games versus a team with a losing straight-up record, they are also 1 and 7 ATS in their last 8 home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.

Get in on the action now bet on NBA > > SIGN UP HERE

When it comes to the total, the one that stands out is the fact that the over is 5 and 1 in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

The key stat to me is the fact that Detroit hasn’t hit the 100 point mark in 13 straight games. They did, however, beat Washington the last time the two teams met 98 to 94.

5 ½ points may not seem like a lot, but the Pistons are going to end their losing streak eventually and the Wizards are a mess. Oh, I’m still taking the points. All I’m saying is that a Detroit victory straight-up wouldn’t surprise me.

Winning Pick: Detroit +5 ½

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Tip-off: 8:00 pm EST

NBA Odds: Memphis -5, Total 200

Analysis: The Clippers have been on a tear against the spread lately going 6 and 0 ATS in their last 6 games.

Memphis counters that with a 6-0-1 ATS record in their last 7 games as a favorite of 5 to 10 ½ points. The Grizzlies are also 8-2-1 against the spread in their last 11 games overall.

These are two very evenly matched teams. The last time these two teams met the Clippers beat Memphis 98 to 88. That game, like this one, was in Memphis. Could the Clippers do it again?

Of course they could. More importantly, though, is the fact that the Clippers backcourt of Eric Gordon and Baron Davis is quickly becoming one that the rest of the NBA has to take seriously. With Chris Kaman’s ability to dominate centers at times, it’s no wonder that the Clippers are on the verge of getting to .500.

The trends don’t favor either team in this one and L.A. has been on a roll. I’ll take the Clippers and the points.

Winning Pick: L.A. Clippers +5

After undergoing more shuffling than a poker deck, the final card is now set for Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg in San Jose, Ca. The main card features the three title fights, but the undercard isn’t too shabby either as it includes a recent UFC Heavyweight Title contender along with some other intriguing prospects.

Fabricio Werdum was perhaps one surprising knockout at the hands of Junior Dos Santos away from a UFC title shot, and now the heavyweight will take on a former UFC also-ran in Mike Kyle. Not surprisingly, BetOnline has Werdum as a heavy favorite, with -550 to +375 odds going in. Kyle has some good size and a little athletic ability but he is likely to be overmatched in this one.

Werdum is a good bet to win but considering Kyle’s natural ability and the potential for Werdum to be gun-shy following his brutal knockout loss to Dos Santos, Kyle could be worth taking a flier on in this one.

Join BetOnline Sportsbook Today!

In other action, one of Strikeforce’s top prospects, Scott Lighty, will take on Mike Cook. Lighty is a -350 to +250 fight in a matchup that seems tailor-made to showcase Lighty’s abilities and build him up as a future contender. Lighty has a good frame for MMA and he will use it to tower over Cook and land strikes for a TKO win in this one.

Justin Wilcox and David “Tarzan” Douglas will also meet in what could be a fairly close match. Douglas is favored in the Sportsbook at -215 to +170. Expect Douglas to live up to his nickname in this one and to use his all-out style to gain control and stake his way to a win.

Zak Bucia is a +220 to -300 underdog to James Terry as well at Strikeforce, a rematch of their fight on the “Shamrock vs. Diaz” card. Terry trains with middleweight champ Cung Le and his exciting style should be enough to score a second straight win over Bucia in this one.

Finally on the Strikeforce undercard, the underdog Isiah Hill, who is listed at +275 will take on Alex Trevino who is a heavy favorite at -375. Hill hasn’t won a fight in over two years while Trevino is a crafty lightweight who could move up the ranks in a hurry. Expect this to be an easy win for Trevino en route to bigger and better things.

It’s not what you think. Randy Couture is unlacing his gloves, and resting from caving in his opponents’ faces to run “Operation All In”, a charity poker tournament that will raise funds for Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation. The event will go down on August 24th in the Golden Nugget Las Vegas.

Couture was once a member of the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army. His foundation is designed to help support soldiers, and their families, who are wounded in combat. You can read more about the foundation here.

But for those of you that wish to become poker champions, all you’ll need is a $330 buy-in to compete for a chance to win a seat at the Sports Legends Challenge poker tournament at Atlantis Paradise Island. The seat is worth $10,000, so if you can survive the grueling field at Couture’s charity event, you may get a chance to see how you measure against the big boys.

Joining Couture will be fellow UFC superstars Dan Henderson, Stephan Bonnar, Frank Trigg and Phil Baroni. But those aren’t the only heavy hitters crashing the tables! Heavyweights from the world of poker will also storm the floor including Todd Brunson, Chip Jett and Robert Williamson III, amongst many others.

Not too sure if you can handle the mega stars of a poker tournament? Then brush up on your skills in BetOnline Poker’s online rooms.
